Investment Forum Energy Efficiency November 11, 2009

This year Fraunhofer Venture again hosts the Investment Forum in Munich. Building a bridge between young entrepreneurs and investors, this forum gives innovative technologies the chance to successfully establish themselves on the market.


This year's Investment Forum focuses on "Energy Efficiency". The director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, Prof. Klaus Sedlbauer - one of the leading experts for sustainable building - and Dr. habil Hans-Gerd Busmann, director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology IWES will lecture on this topic.

Enterprise Simulation Management Game November 10-12, 2009 

Due to the positive feedback of past years, Fraunhofer Venture again offers the enterprise simulation workshop Spin-Off Cycle - From Enterprise Startup to Exit this year.

From November 10-12, 2009 everybody interested in starting a business as well as prospective and established managers have the possibility to simulate the reality of an enterprise with enterprise management games in the academy Schloss Hohenkammer close to Munich.

are more than a good reason to give us a new look. Thus, the new Fraunhofer Venture website http://www.fraunhoferventure.de went online some weeks ago. It features a new press area that may now be accessed by everybody – like all other content as well. The entire login area was deliberately removed to allow for a clearer and more attractive internet appearance.

VFN - Investment Forum in Heilbronn November, 25, 2009

On November 25, 2009 the vfn Investment Forum will take place in the publishing house of the Heilbronner Stimme starting at 6 p.m. This forum (matching) serves as an exclusive platform bringing together investors and young entrepreneurs with marketable and innovative products in order to initiate the investment process.

Four to five promising enterprises will introduce their business idea, their planned investments and their need for investment to the audience in brief 10 minute presentations.

The financial and economic crisis has left clear marks in the order books of many companies. Faced with a rapid loss of their sales market, they reacted by massively reducing their investment activities. The resulting massive losses of sales threaten the existence of many medium-sized manufacturers of innovative investment goods. And the ailing banks are more and more reluctant in granting loans. Raising fresh capital will be considerably more difficult in the future. The issue of a "credit crunch" has not only come up yesterday. Experts predict a considerably growing number of bankruptcies for the months to come.

The entrepreneurs conference addresses entrepreneurs – owners, managing directors and CEOs – as well as managers from small and medium-sized industrial and service enterprises. The entrepreneurs conference offers knowledge, experience and instructions relating to important topics on how to manage corporate crises based on case studies, expert presentations and discussions.

CyberOne Roadshow in Heilbronn November, 19, 2009 

On November 19, 2009 starting at 6 p.m., the CyberOne Roadshow with an introduction to the business plan will take place in the Innovationsfabrik in Heilbronn for the first time. In addition to Mannheim, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, CyberOne also stops by in Heilbronn this year. The evening is organized by bwCon, venture forum neckar e.V. and Innovationsfabrik Heilbronn.

About CyberOne: The bwcon Hightech Award CyberOne managed to develop into the central business plan contest of the high-tech industry in Baden-Württemberg. 622 innovative business concepts have been assessed by the expert CyberOne jury since its founding.

This year the jury will again award start-ups and medium-sized high-growth companies from all technological industries in Baden-Württemberg who set new standards and revolutionize the markets with innovative concepts and strategies.

The CyberOne is a trend measuring instrument creating a platform for knowledge exchange and valuable contacts.

2nd Dresden exists Soccer-Cup November 12, 2009 

The aim is to determine the best soccer-playing Dresden science establishment in direct comparison and therefore allow for a stronger networking of the establishments on an informal level. Prizes will be awarded to the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as to the team with the biggest crowd of fans.

For the 1st Soccer Cup in 2008, 18 teams came to compete – from the Technische Unversität Dresden, the Fraunhofer, Leibniz and Max Planck Institutes, SAP Research, the SIB and the Ostsächsische Sparkasse. The team of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Technische Universität Dresden won the title of the best soccer-playing Dresden science establishment.

Award ceremony, buffet and table soccer starting at 8 p.m.

Participation is strictly limited to staff members of Dresden science establishments: One team each from the Dresden FhG, Leibniz, MPG and the nonprofit industrial research establishments, from the institutes of the TU Dresden, HTW and other academies/universities in Dresden.
