High management competence is vital for a successful business. This is where the initiative "Fraunhofer Fosters Management" starts. At an early development stage of the company, the founders are supported by an interims manager who focuses on analyzing the competitive environment, determining customer requirements, developing the business model, establishing sales structures and ensuring the financing of the company. In case of experienced founders, the team will be actively supported by a young professional.
After such need has been determined, in a selection process, the young entrepreneurs together with Fraunhofer Venture develop the necessary profile, search in forums, networks or job advertisements and, following several appointments, select the best candidate. This step gives confidence, appreciation to the team of founders, the enterprise becomes more attractive for investors and it results in quicker growth. Thus, right at the beginning a strong group is assembled that shapes the company's future together. The members are each able to perfectly unfold their competencies based on their skills. The project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
But not only Fraunhofer founders are addressed by this program, it also provides particularly attractive opportunities for managers and young professionals. Job variation is guaranteed. After successful application, the new managers receive either a temporary contract or a consultancy contract, which may also include the option to become a member of the management board and to take a share in the company.
