Financing

The financing of a technology company mostly represents the major challenge to the founders. The financing approaches are manifold and vary greatly.The starting question is: How much money does your company need and which potential financing partners exist? Together with you, we determine the required capital, establish the right contacts and take care of the financing’s analysis and coordination.

At present, two Fraunhofer Gesellschaft programs foster the establishment of Fraunhofer spin-offs. The measure FFE - Fraunhofer Fosters Entrepreneurship gives young enterprises the chance to receive up to 150,000 euros as pre-seed support from the Fraunhofer environment. The second initiative FFM - Fraunhofer Fosters Management helps the enterprise to find an employee who especially cares for the business aspects such as sales, marketing and financing.

Of course there are also financing possibilities outside the Fraunhofer environment. Fraunhofer Venture is an accredited coach at High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital and is able to set the course for seed financing at an early stage focusing on the overall target. Later on, larger sums may be raised for example via venture capital funds. In addition, a cooperation exists with Munich Venture Partners (MVP) who manage a venture funds. There, particularly promising Fraunhofer spin-offs are provided with financial means.

Furthermore, Fraunhofer Venture organizes an investment forum twice a year to which investors, business angels and further capital providers are invited. This offers a platform for founders on which they can present their product and company idea and establish personal contacts with potential investors.
