DCP-Germany 


Digital Content Portal Germany GmbH - DCP-Germany - is an IT service provider for the movie theater industry. The company carries out the distribution, control, assignment and analysis of digital movie content as well as the collection, control and distribution of digital keys for distributors, post-production companies and advertising operators. Validation of data and certificates is carried out in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS.

DCP-Germany 

The company sees itself as a neutral IT service provider for the entire industry and wants to make the data logistics brought about by digital theater more manageable. For this purpose, DCP-Germany operates a data processing center in Nuremberg and installs central theater servers in participating movie theaters.


 



The most important services offered by DCP-Germany are:

  • Central collection and screen-precise distribution of Digital Cinema Packages (DCP) that bring trailers and advertisement to the movie theater.
  • Central collection and distribution of Key Delivery Messages (KDM), the digital keys enabling the presentation of digital movies.
  • The maintenance of a Trusted Device List (TDL) with the certificates of projection systems enabling right holders to create the KDMs linked to a particular device.
  • The control and validation of this data to avoid failures during operation.
  • The provision of report systems allowing theater operators to document the presentation of movies, trailers and advertisements for distributors and advertising operators.
  • The support of theater operators by the automatic creation of show playlists and the integration of own content according to the standards of digital movies.
