PharmedArtis GmbH 
PharmedArtis GmbH was founded in 2004 as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology in Aachen, Germany. As a specialist in recombinant proteins, PharmedArtis is in the position to offer the complete range from gene to product including production according to GMP guidelines. PharmedArtis disposes of outstanding expertise in all common production systems such as E.coli, yeasts, fungi, mammalian cells and vegetable cells. In addition to these services, innovative immunotherapeutics for treating cancer, inflammation and auto-immune diseases as well as the underlying binding ligands are developed by PharmedArtis based on four patent families.

As a specialist in recombinant proteins, PharmedArtis pursues a dual business model: As a service provider, PMA offers - in the sense of a one-stop shop - everything from gene to product including production according to GMP guidelines. All common production systems such as E.coli, yeasts, fungi, mammalian cells and vegetable cells are offered. Up to 500 L may be fermented in a state-of-the-art facility. In addition, innovative immunotherapeutics for treating cancer, inflammation and auto-immune diseases are developed by PMA based on four patent families.

Based on the gene, the customers are free to select from all modules such as cloning, feasibility studies, media development, fermentation, purification, process development and optimization according to their needs. PharmedArtis has access to a wide range of devices, processes and expertise and is also in the position to offer further services in the field of molecular biology, cell biology, protein production, analytics and GMP consulting. For the production of recombinant proteins, own as well as generally accessible systems are available. New partners for innovative immunotherapeutics for treating cancer, inflammation and auto-immune diseases are always welcome. For specific customer requirements, diagnostic detection systems for infections and the like may be developed.
