AXO DRESDEN GmbH is a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (IWS) in Dresden with former IWS employees and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft as shareholders.

To be able to always deliver the optimum solution to the customer, AXO DRESDEN GmbH works in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer IWS, other Fraunhofer Institutes, and the University of Technology Dresden as well as other national and international research establishments.

More than 20 years of experience in high-precision deposition as well as in X-ray optics, ensure effective and customized solutions for various customers.

The product portfolio includes single X-ray optics and complex X-ray optical systems to generate high intensity collimated or focused monochromatic X-ray beams as well as, depending on customer requirements, special individual depositions and applications in X-ray diffractometry and reflectometry. A wide range of flat and curved X-ray optics is available that can be used with the common types of X-ray sources with respect to wavelength, construction and focus geometry.

AXO DRESDEN GmbH develops and applies various high-precision deposition techniques for the production of nanometer single and multilayers showing sub-nanometer precision.
