Workshop Opportunity / August 31, 2020, 12 pm - 2:30 pm
Accepting applications now: Protecting and restoring tropical ecosystems
The AHEAD workshop "Sustainable Entrepreneurship", hosted by Fraunhofer Venture and delivered by Systemiq, is a targeted contribution to realize SDGs with new business models based on innovative technologies.
Since climate change is calling entire existing systems into question, this requires interdisciplinary and cross-institute cooperation of a systemic nature - also from Fraunhofer. Systemiq is looking for essential technological answers to tech challenges with a clear potential for impact and an appropriate commercialization path to counteract climate change across institutes.
As part of the AHEAD Pull Workshop, Fraunhofer experts will come together to identify innovative solutions to specific SDG challenges:
- Creating an agroforestry market platform enabled through supply chain transparency
- Identifying reforestation areas and guiding activities across agricultural areas, peatlands and degraded land
- Peatland health and restoration monitoring and intervention effectiveness
- Assessing and mapping CO2e sequestration potential across rainforests, peatlands, and agricultural areas
For more detailed information regarding the SDG challenges please click here.
Every Fraunhofer employee can apply for the workshop. The only requirement is experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technology, which can be used for solving the challenges. The workshop is limited to a total number of 20 participants. Applicants can select multiple challenges and state priorities. Application deadline is August 23, 2020 (EOB).
The workshop will be delivered digitally by Systemiq on August 31, 2020, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Leonard Mück (Fraunhofer Venture).
So apply for the workshop and let us use the potential of Fraunhofer to solve the challenges!
