Together with Phoenix Contact Innovation Ventures, VC Fonds Baden-Wuerttemberg, MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft and a business angel, HTGF is supporting the Blue Inductive GmbH. Blue Inductive GmbH develops wireless charging systems and is revolutionising power supply systems for mobile robots deployed in industrial settings.

TCR® technology for the UK market

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, a container with TCR® technology left the research institute Fraunhofer UMSICHT. The container contains a TCR®80 system (with an output of 80 kg per hour), which goes to England. The development and construction of the plant was carried out jointly by Fraunhofer UMSICHT and its own spin-off Susteen Technologies GmbH. The small industrial pilot plant is now used in England to develop applications for the English market through local partners and the Susteen Technologies UK branch.

The Carlyle Group invests in CAD/CAM software provider exocad

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group announced today that it has acquired a majority stake in exocad GmbH, a provider of CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) software for the dental industry, in particular for dental laboratories and dentists.

Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, acting through Fraunhofer Venture, will completely exit its stake in exocad while the founders continue to hold a significant shareholding in the company. Fraunhofer Venture has supported the growth of exocad since its establishment

Scopis GmbH awarded the Fraunhofer Start-up Prize

On Tuesday, 23 February 2016, Scopis GmbH was awarded the Fraunhofer Startup
Prize. The prize was established by the Fraunhofer Venture together with
the High-Tech Gründerfonds and is worth 5,000 euros. It recognizes the current
success and phenomenal development of the Fraunhofer spin-off on the international
market for medical technology. Scopis GmbH is now active in more than
50 countries with its surgical navigation systems for minimally invasive surgery in
the specialist areas of ENT, CMF, neuro and spine surgery.
